Young writer Sam has a beat on Birdie, the quirky and cute barista in his local coffee shop. When his attempts to ditch her crash and burn off, he takes his efforts on line, creating an Internet profile embellished with each of the facts. When the scheme is actually a surprise success and Birdie drops due to his exaggerated alter ego, Sam must keep up the act or lose his dream girl forever.
