A Fire in the Cold Season
A whisper in the central part of Newfoundland, where there are large forests and mill towns. A lonely fur trapper and a heartbroken pregnant woman meet when a body is found on the bank of a river. Scott is lonely and wants to find a reason to live. Mona has a strong will, but she can't stand how fragile she is. As a reluctant dependence grows, the two end up in a violent situation where they have to pay for the debts of a dead man. Outlaws are following them, so they plan to leave.
