Calvin Fuller, a Southern California boy, is mysteriously transported to the medieval realm of Camelot via an earthquake-caused crack in the ground. Once there, he discovers he has been summoned by the magician Merlin, who requires Calvin's assistance in rescuing Camelot. Can Calvin, via the use of stunning new inventions, assist King Arthur in retaining his throne and thwarting the villainous Lord Belasco?
