The story takes place in the early 2000s, when hip hop videos were taken seriously. Sean Wellington, a neurotic music video director who has just been granted the opportunity of a lifetime to make his first feature picture, is the protagonist of this story. As his neurosis continues to hang over him and his attempts to rearrange his personal and professional lives, a painful breakup with his girlfriend takes place in the middle of the festivities. A Talent For Trouble tells the narrative of Sean's struggle to maintain a real-life relationship while also working as a film director.
