Against a Crooked Sky
The eldest daughter of a pioneer family is kidnapped by an unknown Indian tribe, which the eldest son pursues. To reclaim his sister's freedom, he must sacrifice his own life by passing the "Crooked Sky" test and shielding his sister from an executioner's arrow. Along the way, he hires a broken-down, drunk prospector to assist him in tracking down the unknown tribe and rescuing his sister.
