An American Affair
Adam Stafford, played by Cameron Bright, is a young man who lives in the early 1960s and becomes enamored with his new neighbor, Catherine Caswell, played by Gretchen Mol. Catherine is a divorced woman who lives a free-spirited lifestyle. Stafford follows Caswell around while she has meetings with odd guys, and despite the fears of his traditional parents, he goes to work for her as a gardener. He is suspicious of the individuals she is meeting with. They become closer in the wake of accusations that she had an affair with President Kennedy, but the political intrigue that surrounds her acquaintances eventually begins to interfere with their bond.
