Maura Mackenzie (Carolina Bartczak) believes the world is hers to conquer. It seems her beauty and gift will probably soon undoubtedly soon be strong enough to mask the demons that threaten to engulf her, with her career as a concert pianist gaining momentum. But with an estranged husband (Chris Jacot) and 2 young daughters at home, her rickety sanity starts to unravel until one summer evening, burning with manic energy, she makes a dreadful mistake -- a mistake that'll affect her life forever. The consequences of Maura are devastating: her husband runs carrying the children with himleaving Maura to lapse to a full-blown breakdown. Life as she knew it is now over. With the help of her dad, Ian (Peter MacNeill), Maura works to recover her own life also waits for a miracle to bring her chicks home. But when the fates align, can the past be forgiven?
