When Sara takes Beethoven to spend the summer with her crazy Uncle Freddie in an old mining town, the naughty dog "digs up" the missing clue to Rita and Moe Selig's legendary hidden fortune. Now, everyone wants to be the dog's best friend because his discovery has started a treasure hunt among all the strange creatures in the town. With the help of Uncle Freddie and Garrett, a friend or maybe more, Sara and Beethoven try to find out a secret that has been in the crazy little town for years.
