A moving and complicated love tale that spans time, location, and culture, BEIJING, NEW YORK follows the lives of two Chinese childhood friends and an American artist as they come together to form a bond. It takes place against the backdrop of a shift in economic power between China and the United States. After taking the audience on a wild ride through the plot and each character's individual lives, the film's intricate love triangle ultimately pushes each of the characters to confront the most difficult problems in life.
