Best Defense
Wylie is a sluggish engineer, to put it mildly. Lieutenant Landry is an armor specialist. As a result of Landry's need to use Wylie's tank in combat, their lives become intertwined. An engineer that Wylie had just met gave him a CD containing blueprints for a system that could save Wylie's employer from going out of business. Just a few moments later, the other engineer passes away, leaving Wylie the only survivor with the disk and the glory of invention. As a result, Wylie's life has changed dramatically and he is no longer a hacker.
