Ex-convict Georges Manda returns into the world determined to move and has a steady job for a carpenter. Unable to completely shake his relations with the underground, he meets with a former prison mate, older gangster Félix Leca, who introduces him to his mistress, the sweet but safeguarded Marie"Casque d'Or". Georges and marie fall to a relationship that is passionate, driving Félix to accomplish every thing in his power to ruin the bunch.
