Colossus: The Forbin Project
Forbin is your designer of an incredibly sophisticated computer that will run all of America's nuclear defenses. Briefly it finds the presence of both Guardian, the Soviet counter part unknown to US Planners. Both computers insist they are linked, and each side agrees to allow it, afterwards shooting safeguards to conserve confidential material. Once the link has been established the two eventually become a new super-computer and threaten the world with the instantaneous launch of nuclear weapons if they're detached. Colossus begins to give its plans under its own guidance for the world's managing. Forbin and another scientists form a technological resistance to Colossus which has to operate.
