Professor Pohl's boorish demeanor has earned him a bad reputation at the university where he works. To make matters worse, when student Naima arrives late for his lesson, he makes a racist remark. Unfortunately for him, a video of his outburst goes viral online, and the university's president, Lambrecht, is summoned to deal with the situation. Pohl, on the other hand, isn't thrown out. Instead, he is tasked with assisting Naima in her preparation for a major debate competition. Despite the fact that the instructor and the student are diametrically opposed, they are pushed together to operate as a team.
