Crime + Punishment in Suburbia
Roseanne is the focus of fellow student Vincent's adoration at school. By night, she deals with a terrible family life: her mother, Maggie, cheats on her drunken husband, Fred. When Maggie's adultery is uncovered, Fred unleashes his rage on Roseanne, Maggie's stepdaughter. Maggie plots her retribution with the support of her lover, Jimmy, but Vincent might be the one to help her construct a new life in this contemporary fable largely inspired on Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment."
