In 15 years, humanity is on the brink of becoming extinct. It's been a long time since civilisation, food is scarce, and most people have to steal and kill to make money. This is the story of a boy who is clinging to life in the British countryside, where staying away from other people has been very important to him. Self-imposed isolation quickly comes to an end when he meets another group of survivors and faces an enemy far more savage than any of them could have thought of.
