After their regular babysitter cancels, the Thompsons enlist the help of a friend, Anna, to watch their children while their parents go out to celebrate their anniversary. Anna appears to the kids to be a dream come true at first, allowing them to eat extra cookies and play with things that are normally off-limits, but as her behavior becomes increasingly strange, the kids quickly discover that her intentions are dark and twisted—and she is not who she appears to be.
