After the 2nd Influence, Tokyo-3 is being struck by giant animals called Angels that look for to eliminate mankind. The kid Shinji's goal is to fight the Angels by piloting one of the mysterious Evangelion mecha systems. A remake of the first 6 episodes of GAINAX's popular 1996 anime collection. The film was retitled "Evangelion: 1.01" for its DVD release and also "Evangelion: 1.11" for a launch with extra scenes.
