The fifth season of EXHIBITION ON SCREEN kicks out with an in-depth look at the life and work of Venice's most famous view-painter, Canaletto & the Art of Venice. Giovanni Antonio Canal, commonly known as Canaletto, captures the spirit and allure of Venice like no other artist. Over two hundred paintings, drawings, and prints by Canaletto and his contemporaries, as well as works by other artists depicting Venice, are on show. The video also gives viewers a chance to visit Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, two official royal palaces, to gain insight into the lives of Canaletto and Joseph Smith, the man who brought the artist to Britain.
