At the upscale Toronto strip club Exotica, a depressed tax auditor named Francis comes to see the dancer Christina every night. Even as he introduces her onstage, the club's MC, Eric, who used to be her boyfriend, still pines for her. However, Eric is having relationship problems with the club's female owner. Thomas, the owner of a mysterious pet store, is about to get involved in their lives in a way they didn't expect.
