Godzilla 1985
This is the substantially re-edited, re-titled "Godzilla 1985," which was first released in Japan in 1984 as "The Return of Godzilla." This 16th Godzilla film ignores all previous sequels and serves as a direct sequel to the 1956 "Godzilla King of the Monsters," which had scenes with Burr that were also edited into 1954's "Godzilla." As we watch the nuclear devastation of a massive reptile menacing Japan, this picture returns to the darker tone of the original.
