Using the power of the press, LEE Kang-hee, an influential conservative newspaper editorialist, elevates a congressman, JANG Pil-woo, to the position of a leading presidential candidate. Behind all of this was his covert agreement with the paper's largest sponsor. When AHN Sang-goo, a political operative who backed LEE and JANG, is caught pocketing the record from the sponsor's slush fund, he pays the price. WOO Jang-hoon, an ambitious prosecutor, begins to investigate JANG's and the sponsor's relationship, believing that it is the only way he can reach the top. WOO meets AHN, who has been plotting his vengeance for quite some time, while investigating the case. Now begins the war between those who seek power, those who seek vengeance, and those who seek success.
