Kaitlyn, an ER nurse caring for a young stabbing victim, is electrocuted by the defibrillator used to save the woman's life. Kaitlyn begins to have flashbacks to the victim's memories almost immediately. She seeks help from family, friends, and the police, but no one takes her seriously. She decides that she must try to solve the crime herself, or risk having her sanity jeopardized by the terrifying visions. Kaitlyn eventually teams up with the detective on the case and weaves her way through the victim's past, discovering not only the brutal truth, but also some very unexpected lessons about life, love, sorrow, and forgiveness along the way.
