Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The first remake of the paranoid infiltration classic shifts the invasion's setting from a small town to San Francisco, and it begins with Matthew Bennell noticing that several of his friends are complaining that their close relatives are different in some way. When questioned later, they appear to have changed their minds, as they deny everything or make flimsy excuses. As the invaders become more numerous, they become more open, and Bennell, who has now witnessed an attempted "replacement," realizes that he and his friends must flee or face the same fate. But who can he rely on for assistance, and who has already been taken?
