Jan Dara: The Beginning
Based on a Thai sensual novel, the film tells the story of Jan, a boy that grows up in a house lorded over Luang Wisnan, by his debauched and sadistic father. Place in the 1930?therefore the story recounts the growing distress of Jan, whose mother dies while giving birth to him and who's profoundly hated by his father. Jan matures with Aunt Wad, his step mother, and he struggles to reconcile his guilt and unhappiness with unique ladies in his lifetime, for example a lady called Hyacinth, whom he adores, also after Madame Boonleung, his dad's lover who becomes a secret to Jan's sensual awakening.
