Jimmy Alto is an aspiring actor who happens to land the job of a lifetime. He transforms into a vigilante crime-fighter, aided by his sidekick William, who has had a head injury and is experiencing short-term memory issues. Although Jimmy's vigilante alter ego quickly rises to fame in the media, he remains a complete unknown to the public, and his long-suffering girlfriend Lorraine is becoming increasingly frustrated by the situation.
