Inside this play thriller set at the South, a young boy called Green (Bret Harrison) longs to escape his unhappy life but seems trapped into his hometown. A talented makeup artist has big dreams of working in Hollywood. However, the boy's personal demons -- a drunken, abusive stepfather, a group of religious zealots out to destroy his job and the love of a lady who favors life -- could endure in the way of his dreams.
