Man of La Mancha
Miguel de Cervantes, a poet, playwright, and actor who lived in the 1600s, was arrested by the Spanish Inquisition along with his servant. They are being accused of putting on a show that the Inquisition didn't like. Inside the huge dungeon where Cervantes and his manservant have been put, the other prisoners group up on them and start a fake trial in order to steal or burn his things. Cervantes is desperate to keep a manuscript he is carrying with him, so he puts on the story of Don Quixote with the help of the other prisoners, costumes, and make-up.
