During World War II, an English man blackmails a German resident in India to pose as an SS officer on board a cargo ship sailing from Japan to Germany with a substantial amount of rubber for tyres. His task is to neutralize the scuttling charges so that, in the event that they are stopped by English warships, the captain cannot sink the ship.
