Christopher Gill is a psychotic killer who tricks and strangles his victims by dressing up in various disguises. Moe Brummel is a single, harassed New York City police detective who begins receiving phone calls from the strangler and forms an odd alliance as a result. Kate Palmer is a sassy, cool tour guide who witnesses the strangler leaving her dead neighbor's apartment and decides to pursue the detective. Moe's live-in mother aspires for her son to follow in the footsteps of his older brother, who is a successful Jewish doctor.
