Nowhere in Africa
A woman named Jettel Redlich flees Nazi Germany with her daughter Regina, to join her husband on a farm in Kenya. Initially, Jettel won't adjust to her new circumstances, bringing with her a couple of china dishes along with an evening dress. Owuor was named by an African, while Regina adapts readily forming a solid bond with her father's cook.
