Oscar and Lucinda
It's no surprise that misfit Oscar Hopkins, raised by an evangelist father, becomes an Anglican priest and falls head over heels in love with gambling. A wealthy Australian heiress named Lucinda Leplastrier visits London to purchase supplies for her newly purchased glass plant in her native Australia. During a missionary trip to Australia, Oscar meets Lucinda, and the two develop a mutual love for one another. They place a bet that will change both of their futures for the better.
