Spain, 1953. Kilian is a young man from the mountains of Huesca who travels with his brother into the island of Fernando Poo, a state of the Spanish Guinea in Africa, to function in the cocoa plantation of his father. There, he also embarks on a journey of twenty five years past adulthood and knowledge, although he will also have to deal with pain and loss.
