Paradise Next
Wisecracking Makino arrives in Taipei from Japan and strikes up a conversation with Shima, a yakuza who has been leading a relatively quiet life there. Makino asserts that he is aware of the incident that motivated Shima to travel to Taiwan and that he knows about it. Shima learns that someone has Makino's life in their sights, and he and Makino then travel to the city of Hualien, which is located in eastern Taiwan.
