Pinky
Pinky, a light-skinned black lady, graduates from a Northern nursing school and returns to her grandmother's house in the South. Pinky tells her grandma that while attending school in the North, she has been "passing" for white. Pinky has also fallen in love with Dr. Thomas Adams, a young white doctor who is unaware of her black background.
