Early in 1939 Sir Robert Thorndyke takes aim at Adolf Hitler with a high powered rifle, yet the shot misses its mark. Caught and also hurt by the Gestapo and also left for dead, Sir Robert makes his back to England where he finds the Gestapo has followed him.
