It's Hollywood, 1958. Devout Baptist virgin Marla Mabrey and Smalltown beauty queen, under contract to the infamous Howard Hughes, arrives at Los Angeles. At the airport, she meets her driver Frank Forbes, who is engaged to be wed to his seventh grade sweetheart and really is a religious Methodist. Their instant appeal not only puts their religious obligations to the test, but defies Hughes' number 1 principle. Hughes' behavior intersects with Frank and Marla in unexpected and different ways, and their values are challenged and their lives are changed, as they are drawn into their bizarre universe.
