Marshall Antonio Carotenuto comes back to Sorrento to look after the local fire brigade. But since a very wonderful fishmonger, Sofia, occupies his native house Antonio share yet another dwelling with Donna Violante , secretly fall in love. Sofia takes to marry Antonio as a joke make a traffic policeman, Nicolino, becoming envious. The possibilities of the two sweethearts that are deloused are not over as it could appear.
