In addition to being a fan of horror, Chad Buckley is also lonely. In his downtrodden genre video business, Chad spends his days bickering with Sam, his lone regular customer. When an unsuspecting applicant walks through the door, Chad immediately starts teaching him about the laws of horror and his video business in general, much to Sam's chagrin. The onboarding process for Chad involves weaving in and out of many humorous horror shorts, each of which is targeted at a distinct set of horror tropes. This new candidate begins to suspect Chad of being involved in something evil as he learns the ropes, but we soon discover that he may be hiding something of his own.
