It's been three years since Larry Livingstone and his model-wife split up. The psychologist is ready for a new relationship now. When he meets Beth, a young widow with two children, he falls in love with her. However, Beth and the kids are still grieving the loss of their father and husband, and Larry has a hard time breaking through their defenses. Larry, on the other hand, has to deal with his ex-wife and his love for his two kids. Even though Beth and the children have been given a second chance, they realize they must move on with their lives.
