At among the many visits to his doctor George Kimball mistakes a man's investigation for his or her own and considers he has about two. He doesn't tell her tries to locate a new husband. If he finally does tell her, then she immediately finds out he is not dying at all (while he doesn't) and she considers it's just a poor excuse to cover up an affair, so she decides to leave him.
