Space Battleship Yamato
Five years after the Gamilons began an invasion of Earth, the planet has been ravaged by the aliens' bombs. The remnants of humanity have fled to flee the irradiated surface. One day, a capsule sent from Earth Iscandar that tells of a device that could get rid of the radiation from the surface of the Earth is discovered by former pilot Susumu Kodai. The Earth Defense Force re-builds the battleship Yamato having a new kind of propulsion system to generate the 148,000 light year visit in hopes of rescuing the Earth to Iscandar. Within a year, the radiation will drive the remainder of humanity to extinction.
