Henry Letham, a new patient of psychiatrist Sam Foster, claims to be suicidal. In an attempt to diagnose him, Sam visits Henry's previous therapist and discovers Henry's mother, despite Henry's claims that he murdered both of his parents. Sam's mental state deteriorates as reality begins to contradict reality. Then he discovers a hint as to how and when Henry might attempt suicide and rushes to intervene.
