Swallow
Hunter (Haley Bennett) appears to have it all on the outside. She appears delighted to spend her time caring for an immaculate home and spoiling her Ken-doll husband, Richie, as a newly pregnant housewife (Austin Stowell). However, as the strain to match her controlling in-laws' and husband's stringent standards grows, cracks develop in her carefully constructed façade. Hunter develops a dangerous habit, and a dark secret from her past comes to light in the form of pica, a disorder in which she swallows inedible, and frequently life-threatening, objects on a regular basis. SWALLOW is a tense and squirm-inducing psychological thriller that chronicles one woman's breakdown as she fights to restore her independence from an oppressive society by any means necessary.
