Under healing hypnosis, a seemingly well-adjusted young woman tells a superb tale, confirmed by lie detector, of her failed to remember marital relationship to a man that disappeared on the day of their honeymoon, and of her search for him which takes her to a lonesome manor in a remote area of swampland tenanted by snakes, alligators, an intoxicated one-armed lout, a mystical medical professional, and a cold-hearted senior woman who lives alone in a brooding manse.
