In a little village in a valley everyone who reaches the age of 70 has to leave the village and then move to a particular mountain top to perish. If he/she should be refused by anyone would disgrace their family. Old Orin is 6-9. It's her turn to go to the mountain this winter. But she must make sure that her son Tatsuhei finds out a wife.
