An English foreign exchange teacher in a depressed Texas town is trying to give her kids some hope by teaching them how to play football. In the beginning, they don't look very good, but Anna and her helper who is a football player quickly make them look good again. As they work extra hours, the two help kids build their self-esteem and also help their families work things out.
