When Ila comes across a young Indigenous woman weeping in the rain on the side of a major street, she quickly learns that this young lady, Rosie, has just narrowly avoided a severe assault at the hands of her lover. Rosie was found to be barefoot and crying in the rain on the side of the roadway. Ila makes the decision to take Rosie back to her house with her, and the two of them spend the rest of the day working through the effects of the horrible experience.
