The Catered Affair
Jane announces her and Ralph's wedding the next week at breakfast. Jane and Ralph desire a quiet, intimate wedding with no celebration. Jane's parents are impoverished, therefore Jane and Ralph can borrow a car. But at dinner that night, Ralph's parents only talk about their daughters' grand weddings, and the tension rises. A large wedding feast with hundreds of guests suddenly appears. Instead of buying his own taxi and license, Tom's money is going to a wedding none of him, Jane or Ralph wants.
