A really ideal love exists between Ngando and Ndomé. The orphan Ngando, however, is unable to pay the dowry that is required by custom to secure Ndomé's hand. Ngando, who is compelled to ask his uncle for help, finds himself at the whim of his uncle's desire and avarice. How can peace be achieved between Ngando and Ndomé?
