Even if Christmas is just around the corner, for the Buckley brothers, retribution nearly always trumps brotherly affection. That is, until the Hagbarts, the meanest bullies at their middle school, unite the four brothers. This year, however, Mom has decided that the Buckleys will be Elving the Hagbarts. Matthew, a ten-year-old boy, is inconsolable. Christmas snacks and gifts are covertly delivered by the Buckleys to the Hagbart family at night while they torture the Buckley brothers throughout the day. The war of wits soon grows into an extraordinary plan to exact the ultimate revenge on the Hagbarts. After all, he's just learned that he's meant to be nice to those who don't like him, so what will he do if he gets a hefty shove?
